CSI Response to COVID-19 Pandemic

As of today, the COVID-19 pandemic is continuing to spread in Canadian communities, and unfortunately as the pandemic grows, so does the risk of exposure to you and our inspectors.  This is a challenging time for us all as we face the impacts of the COVID-19 virus on our personal lives, on our work lives, and on our communities.  Given the risks and the potential impacts, CSI has decided to take measures to help reduce the risk of spreading the virus and to help protect the health and safety of you, our staff, and our inspectors.  We have asked our organic inspectors to postpone all organic

Qui aurait prévu qu’au début de 2020 nous allions unir nos efforts pour gérer les répercussions de la pandémie de COVID-19, un événement historique et mondial? Cette pandémie a une incidence incroyable sur nos vies personnelles et professionnelles ainsi que sur nos collectivités. Alors que la COVID-19 se répand, le risque d’exposition s’accroît pour les vérificateurs de l’ICS et vous, nos clients. Face à cette augmentation des risques, l’ICS a décidé de suspendre toutes les activités de vérification et d’inspection pour le prochain mois, et ce jusqu’au 20 avril.

CSI Response to COVID-19 Pandemic - RSE and Lab Audits Postponed Temporarily

Who would have predicted that in early 2020 we’d be united in our efforts managing the impacts of a historical, global event, the COVID-19 pandemic?  It is having an incredible impact on our personal lives, work lives, and on our communities.  As the spread of COVID-19 grows, so does the risk of exposure, for the CSI auditors and for you, our clients.  In consideration of the growing risks, CSI has decided to suspend all audit and inspection activities for the next month, until April 20th.

The Canadian Grain Commission reminder

The Canadian Grain Commission reminds the grain industry and producers about grain grading changes that come into effect on July 1, 2013 in Eastern Canada.  Currently, commercial cleanliness requirements for Triticale, Canada (CAN) do not include tolerances for roughage. As recommended by the Eastern Standards Committee at its April 2013 meeting, the following roughage tolerance for exports of Canadian triticale takes effect in Eastern Canada as of July 1, 2013: 
 
Triticale, Canada (CAN) - 0.1% Total small seeds, attrition and roughage
