This is the document library for new CSI clients wanting to apply for organic certification for thier processing/handling operation. Types of processing activities include, but are not limited to, processing, packaging, labeling, storage and brokering. 

  • CSI Organic Certification Policy Manual - ORG-QSP 10.1.0 Rev 22.0

    This quality system procedure outlines the application and certification procedures for clients who apply to Seeds Canada dba Centre for Systems Integration for certification as either an organic farm, livestock operator, or organic processor/handler under the Canada Organic Regime and with equivalency certification to the NOP, EU and JAS organic standards.  This policy manual also outlines the inspection procedures carried out by CSI recognized inspectors to determine compliance of an applicant's system with the organic standard(s) to which application was made.

  • List of Products (ORG_PRO_07)

    All new CSI organic processor clients need to complete this form.

    If you are applying for recertification, then you need to resubmit this form if you are updated the product list from the previous application.

  • Equipment List (ORG_PRO_08)

    All new CSI organic processor clients need to complete this form.

    If you are applying for recertification, then you need to resubmit this form if you are updated the equipment list from the previous application.

  • Equipment Sanitation Matrix (ORG_PRO_09)

    All new CSI organic processor clients need to complete this form.

    If you are applying for recertification, then you need to resubmit this form if you updated the equipment sanitation matrix from the previous application.

  • Organic Product Profile Sheet (ORG_PRO_01)

    All new CSI organic processors and handler clients need to complete this form if they are requesting certification of multi-ingredient products.

    If you are applying for recertification, then you can resubmit the same product profile sheet from the previous application if no changes to the product profiles were made. You need to update and resubmit this form if you made changes to the product profiles from the previous application.

  • CAN/CGSB 32.310-2020 - General Principles and Management Standards

    This is the most current version of the Canadian Organic production system, General principles and management standards CAN/CGSB-32.310-2020.  

  • CAN/CGSB 32.311-2020 - Permitted Substances Lists

    This is the most current version of the Canadian Organic production system, Permitted Substances Lists CAN/CGSB-32.311-2020.  

  • CSI Organic Inspection and Certification Service Contract (ORG_17)
  • Declaration of Non-GE Product Status (ORG_02)

    This form needs to be completed by organic producers if GM varieties are available in Canada for the conventional seed approved for planting. For example, there are genetically modified corn hibreds and soybeans varieties being grown in Canada.

    This form also needs to be completed by processors if non-organic agricultural ingredients, food additives or processing aids are being used and there is a possibility that GM or GE materials may have been used in producing the ingredient, food additive or processing aid.

  • Commercial Availability Search Record (ORG_06)

    This form needs to be completed if you are requesting permission to use non-organic seed, agricultural ingredients, food additives or processing aids.

  • Suppliers List (ORG_05)

    All new CSI organic processor clients need to complete this form.

    If you are applying for recertification, then you need to resubmit this form if you updated the supplier list from the previous application.

  • CSI Preparation and Handling System Plan (ORG_PRO_04)

    All new CSI organic processor clients need to complete this form.

    If you are applying for recertification, then you need to resubmit this form if you have made changes to the information required in the organic system plan. Please note that if you have incorporated your organic system plan into a quality manual, then you will need to submit the current version of your quality manual.

  • CSI Organic Preparation and Handling Recertification Update (ORG_PRO_03)

    All new CSI organic processor clients need to complete this form.

    If you are applying for recertification, then you need to resubmit this form if you have made changes to the information required in the organic system plan. Please note that if you have incorporated your organic system plan into a quality manual, then you will need to submit the current version of your quality manual.

  • CAN/CGSB 32.312-2018 - Aquaculture - General principles, management standards and permitted substances lists

    This is the most current version of the Canadian Organic production system, Permitted Substances Lists CAN/CGSB-32.311-2020.
